Fraz Indian have a beast of an album here. It is crushing, dark, doom ridden stuff with blackened vocals. It is also filled with dark melodies, and skillful song crafting. Great stuff.

flightoficarus (Metal Trenches) Filthy, oppressive, and full of rage. Blackened sludge has been spreading as a niche genre, but I think Chicago has done it best between Lord Mantis and Indian. I enjoy both this and From All Purity, but Guiltess sports some extra melody and a hint of sorrow that sets the two equally crushing albums apart. Bog Phantom This album punched me in the face repeatedly. The intense, brooding, dirty atmospheric tracks relentlessly smashed my soul into the floor. And then I listened to it again. Favorite track: No Grace.

about

INDIAN lets loose a glorious, down-tempo din on Guiltless, their third full-length and first for Relapse. The band's droning doom demolishes listeners with colossal riffs, drums that pounds like hammers, and absolutely tortured blackened vocals. INDIAN's brand of doom is severe, and Guiltless offers no respite.

about

Indian Chicago, Illinois

Chicago’s blackened noise nihilists return to scene with their 5th full length album ‘From All Purity’. Now augmented with an even keener sense of harsh noise, all the trademark elements of Indian’s sound have been refined to reach new lows of powerful and punishing anguish. This is the opposite of easy listening.
