Guiltless

bcb723 A visceral experience, "Guiltless" is about as real as doom metal gets. Similar to fellow Chicago noise masters (and shared bandmates) Lord Mantis, this band just does not give a shit about fitting in - this is who they are. They drop in some melodicism in "The Fate Before Fate" to crushing effect. But the heaviest and greatest moment is the fadeout riff 5 minutes into "No Grace." When those drums kick in... jesus. I would absolutely give anything to see this played live. Maybe someday, right! Favorite track: No Grace.

breakcoreglitterfairy There is something very immediate and to the point about Indian's music, and it gets to me on a very personal level. The expression of aggressive emotion is imbued with a sense of authenticity. Favorite track: The End Of Truth.

Doomed'n'Stoned I am a walking, talking metal encyclopedia...I can say that there are seriously not many bands that went as hard as Indian. There is no sense in me conjuring up a fancy review but, I will tell you that if you don't buy this album, and the rest of their catalogue...you chick will leave you when she finds out she has more balls than you! \m/ Favorite track: Guiltless.

about

INDIAN lets loose a glorious, down-tempo din on Guiltless, their third full-length and first for Relapse. The band's droning doom demolishes listeners with colossal riffs, drums that pounds like hammers, and absolutely tortured blackened vocals. INDIAN's brand of doom is severe, and Guiltless offers no respite.

about

Indian Chicago, Illinois

Chicago’s blackened noise nihilists return to scene with their 5th full length album ‘From All Purity’. Now augmented with an even keener sense of harsh noise, all the trademark elements of Indian’s sound have been refined to reach new lows of powerful and punishing anguish. This is the opposite of easy listening.
